January 2nd, 2011 — Day 2 of 365
Woke up at around noon time today, expecting to grab a quick bite to eat and be on my way home from Vegas. Turns out my parents wanted to gamble a bit more after Lunch. They said they’d be done after a few minutes, but it turned in to about two hours. I gave up on the wait and just decided to walk to strip.
Stopped by the Forum shops first. Tried on a Blazer in the ENORMOUS H&M, only to realize it was from the girl’s section and that it fit me way too tight.
Went over to Miracle Mile down at Planet Hollywood and shopped a bit more. After completely giving up on the mall’s merchandise, I found this AA-type hoodie in Journeys. IT WAS SO SOFT AND AMAZING. AHH. SO MUCH BETTER THAN AMERICAN APPAREL!
After Miracle Mile, I’d thought I’d head over to Fashion Show to buy a Leather backpack like @aristen’s brother got yesterday. On the way there, I dropped a couple bucks in this homeless guitarist’s case. He was actually extremely good. It’s a shame talent like that goes unrecognized.
So, I arrive at Fashion Show and buy the backpack. My phone was seconds from dying, so I decided to head over to the Apple Store to charge it while Tumblr-ing. As I’m checking out my Tumblr, these two girls pass by me and make eye contact. Quick glances, no biggie right? Wrong.
I head out of the Apple Store and notice them again. I make my way to the Escalators and one of them comes from behind and taps me on the shoulder. Not to be conceited or anything, but I figured it was some Tumblr follower that recognized me and wanted to say Hello. I end up hearing “I like your backpack, where did you get it?”
Being me, I told them were I got it and went my own way up the escalator. As I walked towards the exit, I spot them walking at my pace on the floor below. I end up seeing them at Forever 21 and I try not to make it obvious that I’m looking.
I pretty much got the hint by now that they actually might be some random followers or something, so I decided to sit at a couch and just wait for them to approach. Soon enough I see them just standing there shyly making their way closer, and it took them so long I just approached them myself.
I got a better view of one of the girls, she was actually pretty cute. Turns out she wasn’t a follower, but we ended up exchanging numbers and such.
After that fiasco, I made my way back to Harrah’s and figured out that the snow that fell in California is making our drive home a hazard. So we booked another room, and am now staying for one last night in Vegas.
Luckily, my sister was still in town as well. I went over to Bally’s at around 11 PM and hung out with her until 4 AM. I had the best and most enormous nachos I’ve ever seen in my life.

And here’s the Hoodie and Bag I bought.
